Frequently Asked Questions

  • A postpartum doula supports the entire family during the fourth trimester—offering physical, emotional, and practical care after birth. A newborn care specialist focuses specifically on the newborn, providing expert care and guidance around sleep, feeding, and routine building.

As your NCS or PpDoula, I strive to be holistic in my services.

  • The terms “Night Nurse” and “Baby Nurse” refer exclusively to licensed medical professionals—registered nurses or licensed practical nurses—who provide skilled medical care to mothers and babies. I am not a nurse and do not provide medical services.

A “Night Nanny” generally means someone who provides overnight infant care but often lacks formal training in newborn development, sleep science, or postpartum support.

As a certified Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula, I offer expert, evidence-based newborn care and compassionate family support—but I am not a medical professional. My role focuses on nurturing your baby’s needs and supporting your family’s well-being during the fourth trimester.

  • Postpartum Doula care is tailored to your needs and can include baby care, emotional support, meal prep and cooking, laundry, sibling support, and help with recovery—whatever helps ease your transition into parenthood.
